Fertility
Apply 2 to 4 pounds of nitrogen containing fertilizer annually,
labeled for tall fescue lawns only. Begin application in the
fall at and continue until spring during the growing months.
Do not fertilize tall fescue in the summer months.
Mowing
Mow with a rotary mower. Cutting height of 2 to 3 inches
is recommended. Cut grass at taller height in summer months.
Watering
Irrigate only as needed, particularly in drier summer months.
If using an automatic irrigation system try to set timer for
no more than 2 application per week. Remember, for best water
conservation, avoid watering if rain has occurred within the
previous 2 days.

Thatch Removal
If lawn has become thatchy, remove thatch in early fall
and reseed. Use a commercial dethatching machine or rake havily.
Collect and remove all debris.
Weeds
Best weed control is preventive. Use of weed and feed combinations
in the spring and fall is recommended. Do not apply weed and
feed if you plan to overseed or reseed the lawn. Read and
follow label recommendations. For assistance with weed identification
